On the afternoon of October 14, DP President Renho made a condolence call to the Thai Embassy in Tokyo, following the passing of Thai monarch King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 13.
Renho told Ambassador Bansarn Bunnag, “On behalf of the DP, I would like to express my deepest sympathy and prayer for His Majesty’s eternal rest.” The Ambassador in return stated his appreciation for these sentiments.
After signing the book of condolence, Renho once more expressed
her respect for the tireless efforts made by the late king toward
the development of Thailand, and her condolences on his passing, to
the Ambassador. DP International Department Director-General Hiroe
